How to make delicious, fresh juice without a juicer
Serves: 3 cups

To strain the juice, I find nut bags work the best as they allow you to wring out more liquid, but if you don’t have one you could use some cheesecloth or strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve, pushing down with a spatula to get out as much liquid as possible. This juice will last a day or two in the fride, but is best enjoyed fresh on the day you make it.
Ingredients
  • 1 large beetroots
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 large kale leaves
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 2 slices of ginger
  • 4-5 mint leaves
  • 1 apple (optional, for sweeter juice)
  • 1.5 cups water
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth - the timing of this will depend on your blender. It should resemble a thick smoothie at this point.
  2. Hold a nut bag in a large bowl or jug and carefully pour half the juice mixture into the nut bag.
  3. Squeeze as much liquid out as you can, and then remove the dry(ish) pulp, then repeat with the second half of the mixture.
  4. Enjoy straight away, or store in an airtight container in the fridge a day or two.
